The historic activities carried out by the Church, which have impacted and still impacting the Community where the Church and her members are located, are recorded in the 40th Edition of History book.
A deep reflection on the 40 years journey of the Church (September 25, 1977 – September 25. 2017) even till date, reveals that God has so much beautify the Church with grace so amazing. That is why 2017 theme is “Amazing Grace.” We could see that. “Out of His (Christ) fullness (abundance) we have all received one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favour upon favour and gift heaped upon gift -John 1:16, AMP. Our championship is product of grace.
Rick Warren popularized the question, “What on earth am I here for?” This is a question of purpose. When a church understands her purpose, she will be focused and make impacts.
First Baptist Church, Festac Town was established to seek the lost and equip them with kingdom principles so that they can in turn carry out kingdom purpose in order to increase kingdom population and glorify Jesus, the king of the kingdom.
In the course of writing the forty years history of the church, it was observed that, First Baptist Church, Festac Town has not lost focus on her purpose but fulfilled it.
It was also observed that, there are more grounds to cover. So, the Church is set to do more exploits than she did in the last forty years because Jesus Christ is our sufficiency.
